Sound Therapy

Note: (Note: regretfully, Singing Bowl Therapy is not suitable for those with heart pacemakers.)

Our body, mind, and spirit constantly search for equilibrium, yet we often have too much outer stimulus and noise, and not enough time to dedicate to ourselves, which can prevent us from achieving deep levels of relaxation and overall well-being. The bowls support us in obtaining this balance by facilitating shifts in our brainwave state through a process called entrainment.

Singing Bowl Therapy is offered to fully clothed guests as they lie comfortably on a well-appointed therapy table. The bowls are placed directly on and around the body and gently struck with a felt mallet to produce their unique vibration and sound. The ambient tones lull us into deep relaxation, while the subtle vibrations from the bowls offer a gentle “massage” to the cellular tissues of the body. Singing Bowl Therapy is physically less intrusive than a traditional hands-on massage. The therapy bowl does most of the physical work therefore contact is kept to an absolute minimum. Most recipients start to relax as soon as the session begins with the bowls quickly easing us into a nurturing state of mindfulness and well-being. Results vary of course but Singing Bowl Therapy can have a profound effect on the body and mind. It balances our brain activity and helps support us in finding a new way to respond to stress.
